About ToolFlight's Image Tools

These tools cover the everyday image jobs that usually mean opening a heavy desktop editor for one small change: compressing a photo down for email, cropping it to a specific ratio, converting between PNG, JPG and WebP, removing a background, or touching up a portrait with AI. Most process the file directly in your browser, so nothing is uploaded to a server before you get your result.

Choose the right image tool

A sensible order of operations

For web images, crop first (fewer pixels), then fix orientation, edit or retouch, add a watermark if needed, convert to the right format and compress last. Compressing earlier and editing afterwards re-compresses the file and loses quality. Our guides on compressing images, resizing images and image formats explain the reasons.

Privacy

Image tools work in your browser, so your photos are not uploaded. Larger images and the AI tools use more device memory, so close other tabs if a very large picture runs slowly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will compressing or converting an image reduce its quality?
Image Compressor lets you choose the quality level, so you control the size-vs-quality trade-off. Converting between formats (e.g. PNG to JPG) can lose transparency or introduce slight compression, which is why the Image Format Converter shows a preview before you download.

Which tool should I use to remove a background?
Background Remover cuts a subject out automatically; Background Changer then lets you swap in a new background (useful for product photos or passport-style shots) after the subject is isolated.

Do the AI photo tools require an account or upload?
No sign-up is required. Some AI features (upscaling, enhancement, OCR) use on-device models where possible; where a tool needs heavier processing, the page states so before you run it.

What image formats are supported?
JPG, PNG, and WebP are supported across the format converter, compressor, and crop tools.
