This calculator finds the exact time between two dates — typically your date of birth and today — broken down into full years, full months, and remaining days, rather than a single decimal figure. It's useful for anything that requires a precise age on a specific date: eligibility checks, legal or medical forms, or just satisfying curiosity about exactly how old you are down to the day. The calculator counts whole years first, then whole months, then the days left over between the date of birth and the "as of" date. Take someone born on 15 March 1990 and an "as of" date of 10 October 2026: that is 36 years (to 15 March 2026), 6 more months (to 15 September 2026) and 25 days, so 36 years, 6 months and 25 days. It also shows the total number of days lived, which is handy for milestones such as your 10,000th day.
Do not subtract birth year from current year; that overstates your age until your birthday has passed. If you were born on 29 February, rules differ by country and organisation about whether your birthday falls on 28 February or 1 March in non-leap years, so check the rule on the form you are filling in.
