Final price and amount saved, calculated instantly as you type.
A quick way to see exactly what you'll pay and exactly what you'll save on a discounted item, without doing the percentage math by hand. Enter the original price and the discount percentage, and both the final price and the amount saved update live as you type — useful for comparing sale prices while shopping, or checking a discount was applied correctly at checkout.
Enter the original price and the discount percentage — the final price and amount saved update instantly as you type, no button needed.
Amount saved = original price × discount ÷ 100, and final price = original price − amount saved. For an item priced at 80 with 25% off, you save 20 and pay 60. The calculator updates both results as you type, so you can try several percentages quickly while comparing offers in a shop or online.
Two discounts of 20% and then 10% do not equal 30% off. The second discount applies to the already reduced price: 100 becomes 80, then 72, a total saving of 28%. To check a stacked offer here, run the first discount, then enter the resulting final price as the new original price and apply the second percentage. The order of two percentage discounts does not change the final price, but a fixed-amount coupon applied before or after a percentage discount does.
Shop owners can use the same maths to set sale prices while protecting their margin, and the Invoice Maker helps turn the final figures into a professional invoice.
Does this work for stacked or multiple discounts?
This calculates a single discount pass; for stacked discounts, use this calculator's Final Price as the Original Price for the next discount.
Can I calculate the discount percentage from two prices instead?
This tool goes from percentage to price; for the reverse, use the Percentage Calculator's "X is what % of Y" mode with the amount saved and original price.
